I'm gonna get heat for this comment but, when u have to go through the trouble of creating an extra harpoints and then reevaluating the planes aerodynamics (even the smallest addition can throw the plane out of balance, when aerodynamic characteristics are considered) then why not integrate it in the nose of the plane and use that place for something else?

This looks like a half assed job, like usual coming from Pakistan defense predictions. Just like those cheap hinges

Hi,

With modern day fly by wire aircraft not a lot has to be done to the aerodynamics on an aircraft that is already in service---.

Don't underestimate the design / utility of the Paf design team

South Korean Mainstream media is reporting that South Korean 🇰🇷 KA-50 is competing against Pakistani JF-17 Thunder 🇵🇰 for Malaysian Air Force's Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) program, under which Kuala Lumpur seeks to purchase 18 jets to replace its aging MiG-29 fleet, according to sources, Sunday.

The FA-50 is a variant of the T-50 supersonic trainer jet, manufactured by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI).

Moreover, Since its first deployment in October 2013, 60 FA-50s are operated by the Korean Air Force. In addition, the FA-50 has been exported to Iraq, the Philippines and Thailand.

“The Korea Times” reported that Initially, France's Rafale, the multinational Eurofighter and the United States' F-18 were put forward for the Malaysian program, but the project has been downsized to purchasing light attack aircraft due to budget issues, giving a fighting chance to India's Tejas, Italy's M346 and Russia's Y-130.

The Korea Times Correspondent “ang Seung-woo” said that the FA-50 is reportedly behind the JF-17 in the race as the latter possesses a better mid-range weapons capacity which is a requirement of the Malaysian Air Force.

A prototype 3001 JF-17A Block 3 spotted during testing in 2021 with PL-10 AAMs.

The PL-10E missile will replace the PL-5EII on the wingtip Within-Visual-Range Combat pylons of Pakistan’s JF-17A Thunder Block 3.

Seems fake. The missile on the starboard wing has a solid white seeker head?
