Our own carrier, or some sort of defense agreement with Chinese?in due time, +/- a decade.
Our own carrier, or some sort of defense agreement with Chinese?in due time, +/- a decade.
Right now shared, in future, our own. There is a a defense pact in place, which is due for updates. Our own carrier, or some sort of defense agreement with Chinese?
A number of Air Forces operate the F18 from land. With PAF the strategy is that launched from land, tear up enemies underbelly, and recovered by PLAN carrier.I have wondered about the same as well esp. the carrier borne version has extra weight due to the folding wings and re-enforced under carriage. The rationale is J11/16 are based on licensed versions of SU27/30 and China is not allowed to sell the copies.
J-15 on the other hand is based on an unfinished example of Su33 that was obtained Ukraine and thus not subject to same restrictions.

Or this is precursor to something totally out of the left field done the line
F/A - 18 variant designed for flight ops from land is nothing like the "vanilla" F/A-18 designed for carrier ops. So a modified J-15?A number of Air Forces operate the F18 from land. With PAF the strategy is that launched from land, tear up enemies underbelly, and recovered by PLAN carrier.
Mentioned by @Khafee earlier, yet anything out of the box, and people get confused.
Yes, my "left field" hint.A number of Air Forces operate the F18 from land. With PAF the strategy is that launched from land, tear up enemies underbelly, and recovered by PLAN carrier.

These land operated F18's look like "vanilla" to you?F/A - 18 variant designed for flight ops from land is nothing like the "vanilla" F/A-18 designed for carrier ops.
and by that time PAF pilots would be proficient naval aviators.in due time, +/- a decade.
@Mastankhan has been saying this for ages #RESPECT!A number of Air Forces operate the F18 from land. With PAF the strategy is that launched from land, tear up enemies underbelly, and recovered by PLAN carrier.

ACs are for power projection, not defending Karachi from IN attacks. If we are going to get one, it can be for:
1. Protecting Chinese exports from Gawadar.
2. Protecting petroleum resources in the Arabian Sea.
3. Projecting power over the Middle East and India.
Pakistani J-15s operating out of Liaoning? Wow! But it does make sense.
Insha'Allah , in that one decade PN would also raise its own air arm. Insha'Allahand by that time PAF pilots would be proficient naval aviators.
Sir, you absolutely right. @Mastankhan is very visionary man.@Mastankhan has been saying this for ages #RESPECT!
Our own carrier, or some sort of defense agreement with Chinese?
That is what I was alluding to. Collaboration with PLAN where aircraft are recovered onntgeir carrier after a long range atrike deep south.Yes, my "left field" hint.
@Mastankhan has been saying this for ages #RESPECT!
Hi,
The most important thing that I think I stated was regarding the Yemen crisis and lack of Pakistan's role in it.
You all are seeing the crisis that it will be leading to in the coming months and years---.
Makes sense, this will help us in understanding carrier operations before we build or buy oneRight now shared, in future, our own. There is a a defense pact in place, which is due for updates.
