Today Sawad Dam is connected to Gwadar. Gwadar will Get 1 million gallons more water which will solve water issue of Gwadar city. CM Balochistan Jam Kamal inaugurated this project which has been completed and will be operational in few days.

#Pakistani #passport Makes a Huge Improvement in Latest Passport Rankings for 2020
The Passport Index, the world’s leading real-time passport ranking tool, has ranked Pakistani passport at 192nd spot in the Individual Passport Power Ranking (IPPR) 2020.
Pakistani passport’s ranking has significantly improved this year as it jumped up 6 places from the 198th position for 2019.
IPPR is compiled by combining both the Mobility Score (MS), the number of countries one can visit without a visa, or they can obtain a visa on arrival, and United Nations Development Program’s Human Development Index (UNDP HDI). The higher the MS, the better the IPPR. UNDP HDI serves as a tie-breaker in case passports have the same MS.
Pakistani passport has a MS of 33 as its bearers enjoy the facility of visa-free access to 7 and visa on arrival in 26 countries

#Dawlance to export microwave ovens to #Bangladesh: Razak Dawood
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood! informed that in pursuance of the diversification policy, the export of microwave ovens from #Pakistan has been confirmed for the first time and these are going to be exported by Dawlance, #Turkish investment in Pakistan.
The advisor on Friday stated that, with the support from the Government, other engineering products will soon follow suit and get exported to the rest of the world.
In this regard, duties on import of components of televisions have been reduced to promote local manufacturing of television sets, which has a potential for export as well in the coming years

#Huawei, #GIK join hands to launch first undergraduate Degree program in #Pakistan
Through the medium of a remote virtual event, Huawei Pakistan and the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK) formalized their Industry-academia partnership. Both parties took part in an official signing ceremony, with the event solidifying the creation of a four year BS degree in Artificial Intelligence partnered by Huawei.
The program is the first such partnership and serves as a milestone in an already successful four-year-long partnership that started with the establishment of the Huawei ICT Academy at GIK in 2016.

IT Exports Reach $1.11 Billion With a 20.75% Increase in 11 Months
On the directions of the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication is continuing its efforts to enhance IT exports and encourage IT companies.
The IT & IT-enabled Services (ITeS) export remittances comprising of computer services and call center services have surged to $1.11 billion at a growth rate of 20.75% over the first 11 months of FY 2019-20 (July – May), in comparison to $917.875 million during the same period in FY 2018-19, according to performance report of Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), an organization under Ministry of IT and Telecommunication.
IT Industry has been a star in #Pakistan’s economy and has achieved positive year on year growth as a result of strong government support, skilled entrepreneurs, and a talented workforce.
The Ministry of IT is taking all possible steps to ensure the sustainable growth of Pakistan’s IT Industry and to ensure close coordination with the IT industry and associated stakeholders

#Pakistan mango exported to #Japan
Pakistan has started exporting mangoes to Japan this season.
According to the News, Pakistan exported a record high of 120 tons of mango to Japan in 2019.
Generally, mango exports to Japan require pre-clearance by Japanese inspectors who are dispatched to Pakistan and other countries following to quarantine regulations.
However, this year, the government of Japan could not dispatch these inspectors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a spokesman for the embassy.
So, the government of Japan introduced a temporary measure, which allows mango exports by taking measurements and sending necessary data and documents to Japan for quarantine
Pakistan has started exporting mangoes to Japan this season.

Govt to Launch #BrandPakistan Program to Boost Tourism
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Chairman National Tourism Coordination Board Zulfiqar Bukhari has announced that the federal government will launch ‘Brand #Pakistan’ to boost tourism.
Addressing a media conference, the SAPM revealed that Brand Pakistan will be launched before the end of 2020.
He added that Pakistan will host the World Tourism Forum in 2021 which will be attended by tourism ministers from 8 countries, including Turkey and Iran, and is expected to draw investment worth $3 billion.
In this regard, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has devised a detailed plan to reform the tourism sector in Pakistan.
We have formulated a comprehensive policy on tourism from 2020 to 2030 and with that we have also introduced a five-year action plan. Like other countries, Pakistan had planned to launch a program to promote tourism earlier this year which was delayed due to the Coronavirus.

#LionAir wants to start flights from #Pakistan: #Indonesian ambassador
Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan S Amri on Wednesday said that the country's airline Lion Air wanted to start flights from Pakistan and "negotiations with aviation officials are already underway".
"Lion Air wants to start from three cities of Pakistan. The plan is still on the table. Let us hope that negotiations between the Lion Air officials and Pakistani aviation officials make some early headway," he said during a webinar with leading Pakistani journalists.
The Indonesian embassy held a media webinar inviting leading journalist of the country to express their views about bilateral relations between the two countries and as to how this relationship can further be strengthened
