Since there is no topic about the Armenian army, I am publishing it here. The Armenian Army continues to strengthen its units with foreign-made weapons. Armenia reportedly signed a $41 million contract with the Indian company Zen Technologies Ltd to purchase the ZADS anti-drone system. The ZADS complex was developed in 2020 and allows for classification, tracking and passive surveillance of drones. The complex is equipped with a radio frequency drone detector, radar, video cameras and drone suppression equipment. 3D X-band radar detects drones and provides precise target coordinates to jam drone communications. The video cameras of the Zen complex are capable of identifying a drone at a range of up to 3 kilometers. The complex can be equipped with a special drone with a hanging net to capture small-sized enemy drones. The exact characteristics of the ZADS complex are unknown.

Armenia buys Indian Akash air defense systems. Armenia and India have entered into an agreement to purchase Indian Akash air defense systems; the contract is valued at $720 million. The Akash air defense system began to be developed in 1983 by the Defense Research and Development Laboratory; production of the air defense system began in 2008 by Bharat Dynamics Ltd. At the moment, two types of Akash air defense systems are produced in India - a basic one with a destruction range of up to 30 kilometers and an upgraded one with a destruction range of up to 70 km. Which of these two types of air defense systems Armenia ordered is still unknown. The Akash air defense system can be mounted on a T-72 or BMP-3 wheeled or tracked chassis. The Akash air defense system includes: - a launcher with three anti-aircraft missiles, - a multifunctional radar "Rajendra" capable of detecting targets at a range of up to 60 kilometers, as well as a control point. The complex's radar with a phased array antenna allows simultaneous tracking of up to 64 targets and guidance of up to 12 missiles. The air defense system is equipped with missiles with a warhead weighing about 60 kilograms and a flight speed of 1000 m/s. The air defense system can hit targets at altitudes of up to 19 kilometers.

In Delhi on Friday 26 January, a military parade was held in honor of India's Republic Day, marking the adoption of the constitution on 26 January 1950 and the acquisition of sovereignty from Britain. For the first time, military women became the main theme of a military parade. For the first time, the parade was opened by 100 women playing Indian national musical instruments. Also shown at the parade was the Indian NAMIS missile launcher with the NAG ATGM, created on the basis of the Russian BMP-2, with a firing range of up to 4000 meters. Episodes of takeoffs and landings of Indian MiG-29K fighters, Russian-made, from the Indian aircraft carriers INS Vikramaditya R 33 and INS Vikrant R 11. The Vikramaditya aircraft carrier was created on the basis of the deeply modernized Soviet aircraft-carrying cruiser "Admiral Gorshkov", project 1143.4. In the USSR, the ship was launched in 1982, in 2004 it was purchased by India, underwent modernization in Russia, becoming a full-fledged aircraft carrier from an aircraft-carrying cruiser, and in 2013 the ship went to India. The aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, developed jointly by India, Russia and Italy, the development of the ship began in 1999, was launched in 2013 and handed over to the fleet in 2022. This is the first aircraft carrier built in India. The ship took a long time to build, but the country gained its first experience in creating ships of this class.

Tests of the Russian T-90S tank in India in 1999. Archival footage of the Russian Uralvagonzavod. Tests on May 17, 1999 in India of the Russian T-90S tank. It was a difficult time for the plant at that time; one might say that the contract with India saved the plant. In 1997, India showed interest in the T-90S tank. But India needed a tank with a 1000-horsepower engine and a thermal imaging sight. At that time, the Russian tank did not have the required characteristics, but the adaptation of the tank and the revival of production took place in the shortest possible time at Uralvagonzavod. Tests were carried out in the Thar desert, each tank traveled more than 2000 kilometers. The V-92S2 "ChTZ-Uraltrak" diesel engine demonstrated phenomenal endurance. The tests were completed successfully. In the early 2000s, 124 tanks went to India in finished form and another 186 in the form of vehicle kits. And in 2004, the first Indian-assembled T-90S tank was released.

India has unveiled a prototype of the new light tank Zorawar, it is designed in accordance with the requirements of the Indian Army for high-altitude areas. The developer of the tank was the Defense Research and Development Organization and Larsen and Toubro. The tank was created as a response to the Chinese Type 15 (ZTQ-15) light tanks deployed on the border with India. Previously, India considered the possibility of purchasing the Russian Sprut-SDM1 light tank, more about it in the link to the video in the comments to the video, but in the end it decided to develop its own tank. Reportedly, the experience of the conflict in Ukraine was taken into account when developing the tank. The tank weighs only 25 tons, which allows it to operate in difficult mountainous terrain. The armament of the Zorawar tank consists of a Cockerill 3105 combat module with a 105 mm cannon from the Belgian company John Cockerill and a 12.7 mm machine gun. It is alleged that modular armor is used as protection, as well as active protection systems. The hull of the K-9 Vajra self-propelled gun may be used as a base for the tank. The Indian Army has already placed an order for 59 Zorawar tanks, and plans to purchase a total of 354 light tanks in the future.
