JIT Report of Lyari Gangster Uzair Baloch’s Confesses to spying for Iranian Intelligence (IRGC)

The JIT was formed in February 2016 and presented its findings in early May 2016.
According to the JIT report, Uzair Baloch was involved in “espionage activities by providing secret information regarding army installations and officials to foreign agents (Iranian intelligence officers) which is a violation of the Official Secret Act 1923”.
“In September 2013, Baloch fled to Chabahar, Iran, after the Sindh Rangers launched a crackdown in Karachi.
One of his Aunts named Ayesha was permanently settled in Iran and was a dual nationality holder of Iran and Pakistan.
In 1987, his Aunt obtained photographs of Uzair to make his fake birth certificates under the name of her deceased son, Abdul Ghani, who had died seven years ago at the age of 14.
In around 2010, his Iranian documents (an Iranian National Identity Card and passport) expired and he renewed them with help his aunt (Iranian national) living in Iran.
In Chabahar, Iran he met Haji Nasir. Haji Nasir a resident of Tehsil Mand of the Balochistan’s Kech district (Pakistan) was dual national (Iranian and Pakistani). Nasir was an agent of Iranian intelligence.
Nasir offered Uzair to shift to Tehran permanently where he would be provided a residence free of cost.
Haji Nasir arranged his meeting with Iranian intelligence officials. Where he was tasked by them to “provide certain information about [Pakistani] armed forces officials besides general security environment of the city [Karachi]” in return for complete protection.
On Dec 29, 2014, Interpol arrested Uzair when he was crossing into the United Arab Emirates from Muscat by road.
Uzair Baloch JIT was formed in February 2016 and presented its findings in early May 2016.
On April 12, 2017, DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor tweeted that Uzair Baloch had been taken into military custody, on charges of espionage (Leaking data to foreign intelligence).
In April,2020 Uzair Baloch was convicted by Anti-Terrorism Court-VI (ATC-VI). He was convicted in Pakistan Army Act Section 59 read with Section 3 (penalties for spying) of the Official Secret Act and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 12 years.
Interestingly During his peak, gangster Uzair Baloch bagged Rs27.68 million a month. Made extra from settlements & recoveries. His assets in Pakistan, Dubai, Sharjah, and Muscat valued at Rs417.1 million. Carried a personal staff of 16, including 7 gunmen and 2 cooks. Moreover, Uzair Baloch confessed to killing 198 people.”
Analysis: This is another alarming report which reveals Iranian Intelligence role in destabilizing Pakistan. Indian Spy Kulbushan Yadav made similar confession. Interestingly he was also living in Chabahar, Iran. He was also traveling on an Iranian Passport.
Last month Pakistan handed over details of BLA training camps in Iran, to the Iranian authorities. A few months back, Target killers belonging to Zaniabiyon arrested by CTD in Karachi also confessed about Iranian intelligence providing training, financial, and logistics support to the militia.
