If you look at the geopolitical map of Western Europe, you will discover that countries demarcated along ethnic lines. Same case with Canada which has Anglo Saxon, French and German zones. There is no need to mention the situation in Africa and the US. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

There is this saying "so it is in the beginning, so it shall be in the end." Racialism and tribalism have been a feature of life since the beginning of time. In some places, it seems that is an increase in these activities. These things will not go away until there is an integration of the various ethnicities which I don't see happening anytime soon if ever.

Globalization will push racism and tribalism to the fringe. There was a time, before Darwin, when the concept of race didn't mean much to many people. Because of business, people will once again stop hating each other and travel all over the world to get the best deals for anything they want to buy. However I don't think the death of racism will make the world a better place. Humans have a habit of stratifying themselves into groups. What will follow may be worse. Classism? Enslavement of the poor by the wealthy?

I believe that change isn't always good because it can make things worse.
