its news as maam messiach just release this news
That's an amazing news, not an ordinary news. FBLS uses optic cables, using light rays, faster transmission and invulnerable to EMP i.e even if thunders get under an emp wave, it's avionics might fry but basic functionality won't cease and plane can safely land.

when in case avionics are fried, how can plane land safely?
Glass /plastic fiber is just a data carrier, of course it's free of electronic interference and can carry much more on single fiber than copper wire. They still would be having redundant fibers.

Chief of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan is in South Africa, they have signed MoU of co-operation.
I smell they are joining the development of next generation BVR.
South African Airforce have recently inducted A-Darter an IR homing SRAAM.

Hmm transmission and recieving end will fry up , yea. So basically what we are achieving is just reliability and speed which is itself enough good

Nice short writeup on jF-17 in a Czech media.

on engine part they are wrong, because there are no official or reliable hints that blk-3 would house WS-13.
Infact PAF is happy with RD-93 due to various reasons.
What is actually expected in blk-3 is RD-93 with high thrust, expected to be around 90kN after burner.

Some reduction in weight as well.
Most import, jF-17 blk-3 will be technologically most modern a/c in PAF inventory.
Deadly it's already.

Not sure, if boys have came across this picture of 3rd proto type.
Expect to see heavy use of composites in Blk-3 as well.

Thunder spotted with a new IRST Pod. This same pod has been spotted on J-10C as well earlier.

@Signalian @AliYusuf @Khafee @HRK interestingly, this is not a chin mounted IRST pod of which rumours have been floating since ages especially quwa. If chin hp isn’t implemented, would that be a setback for block 3 as it will limit the operational built-in capabilities as chin hp was supposed to be dedicated for IRST?
