A nationwide blackout across Turkey has thrown the country into chaos.

Power outages have been reported in dozens of cities throughout the country due to a fault on power transmission lines, according to Turkey's Electricity Transmission Company TEİAŞ's statement.

Prime minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said that a crisis-desk at the Ministry of Energy has been established.

This is definitely the work of some low life terrorists who are hell bent on creating confusion and fear. They know very well that their actions will grind every activity to a halt and they will take advantage of the situation and cause problems.

Pretty terrifying considering Turkey is considered one of the more moderate Muslim majority countries. Would hate to see how we would react if a similar situation happened over in our part of the world. Granted, it's not as bad as mass casualties or violence, but it's still a very disruptive action. And that is the goal of terrorism. To disrupt life as normal and to cause chaos.

I couldn't even imagine if the entire California shut down that would be terrified. If California's power shutdown for even one day I think the entire United States will be in disarray. And that's just one state imaginative three states shut down.

Do you remember the black outs in NYC? We have gotten so accustomed to electricity that we really have no idea how to handle ourselves when it goes out for more than a couple of hours.
