I personally have lost confidence in democracy or Democrazy in Pakistan. Latest achievement, is a textile designer becomes minister for climate change, and exposes herself by talking about Covid-19.
in this system u have to keep everyone happy or else ur government goes
this system promotes corruption
u have to oblige everyone
u can’t run here 2 days

In that case, IK should resign and call for mid term elections?
I alwasy thought of him as a very stubborn single minded person. WHo had a track record of working hard and meeting his objectives.

I would have been happy had PTI met 30% of the lofty goals they put in there first 100 day agenda to be met in their 5 year term.

Things to consider:
Bankrupted economy. We have had to stumble from one "bhuran" to another. I think there has been some work done to stabalize that. Look at Year over year current account deficit, or FDi as some sort of metrics.

Razor thin majority with a lot of coalition partners and "electables" unfortunately has not helped at all.

And a stacked deck that will not let you do anything. Look at NAB, LHC, IHC. There are open and shut cases against the likes or Zardari (Omni), Shahbaz Sharif (TT) that have not been acted upon.

But to say IK = Zardari = Nawaz is also not correct.

So I ask @!eon , what is your solution or recommendation at least?

So then How is Imran Niazi better than others?

Solutions?
In whole world political parties formulate solutions and when they are in govt they implement solutions. Pakistan and then PTI is unique. After two years they are asking public the solution.

In older post, I have just mentioned what have they promised earlier.
When they were promising these things, were they not planning solutions?
If they were not planning solutions, why were they promising these things?

Infighting between Tareen, Qureshi and Asad Umar damaged PTI: Fawad Chaudhry
Tuesday Jun 23 2020

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that infighting between Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Planning Minister Asad Umar and PTI leader Jahangir Tareen has had an adverse impact on the party and has been one of the main reasons behind Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision not going according to plan.

“There were a lot of expectations from PTI and Imran Khan,” Chaudhry said in an interview with Sohail Warraich for Voice of America. “The public had not elected us or the prime minister to fix nuts and bolts but to reform the system.”

“When the Panama case was resolved I and few others had a chance to speak to Imran Khan and at that time I felt his ideas were very clear when it came to reforms,” he said.

The minister added, “The way he said the chief ministers had become dictators in Sindh and the finance commission award should be [implemented] along with police reforms and judicial reforms, it was very clear at that time what Imran Khan’s vision was."

Chaudhry said that problems arose when the government was formed and differences between Umar, Tareen and Qureshi increased. "These differences pushed the entire political class out of the game altogether."

“Consequently, when a political vacuum was created, it was filled by people who have nothing to do with politics,” he said.

The minister said that just having ideas is not enough, "you have to form a team which brings the ideas to fruition".
"When Imran Khan's core team was shaken, the new people to have replaced them were not in agreement with the [premier's] ideas and still aren't," he said.

‘JKT had Asad Umar removed'
When asked why despite having the political might of Qureshi and Pervez Khattak in the Cabinet, things turned out the way they had, the science and technology minister said they tried to have Tareen and Umar reconcile their differences but it could not happen.

“When [Asad] Umar became the finance minister, [Jahangir] Tareen had him removed as the finance minister. Then when Umar came back [to the cabinet] he had Tareen removed. Similarly, Qureshi met Tareen to talk things over, but nothing could materialise,” Chaudhry said.

‘Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto appointed weak people’
Responding to a question about whether the prime minister did not get an experienced team or if his governance was faulty, Chaudhry said a team is chosen by the leader.

“I myself am surprised [over what has transpired]. There is no leader like Imran Khan in the Muslim world. The Turkish leadership is unacceptable to the West, the Saudi leadership is fraught with its own controversies, and Iran has its own problems. Imran Khan is the only leader who has the capability to bring the Western and Muslim worlds together. But when there is weakness from within, the focus from such things is diverted,” he said.
Chaudhry said that Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto may have chosen weak people for important positions because ultimately their vision was to transfer power over to their children.

“They had no other vision,” Chaudhry said, adding that PM Imran did not have the same problem.

“The best people should have been [appointed to government positions]," he said.

The minister, without naming anyone, said that the suggestion to the premier to appoint "weak people" had costed him dearly.

Chaudhry attempts to walk back on statements
Later in the day, during a meeting of the federal cabinet, Chaudhry attempted to walk back on statements made during the interview following an uproar by members.

Geo News, citing sources, reported that Umar and Qureshi strongly opposed to the interview's contents, with the premier reportedly chiding his party members to refrain from blowing the issue out of proportion.

According to the sources, Faisal Vawda also lashed out at Umar and Qureshi. "There is no doubt over the fact that you both have ambitions to become the prime minister," he alleged, adding: "Your fights have caused a great deal of damage to the party."

Meanwhile, in an attempt to defuse the situation, Chaudhry told everyone to listen to the full interview before drawing any conclusions.
"Sohail Warraich had asked for my analysis. My analysis was that the fight between these three members hurt the party."

The PTI government has six months to perform, said Federal Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry in an interview with an international news organisation.

Fawad claimed Prime Minister Imran Khan has told the federal cabinet that if it does not perform within six months, matters may escalate.

With regards to his own portfolio change, Fawad said that after being removed as the minister for information and broadcast, he did not wish to be given another ministry. But Syed Zulfiqar Bukhari said the prime minister wanted him to have another ministry.

‘Who is misleading the cabinet’: PM Imran tries to keep house together
By Our Correspondent
Published: June 23, 202
ISLAMABAD: Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday expressed their displeasure over Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry making revelations about rifts within the PTI ranks, prompting Prime Minister Imran Khan to call for cabinet members to remain united.

Umar and Qureshi took up the issue during a federal cabinet meeting. The planning and development minister complained that Fawad’s statement about him was “irresponsible”. In an interview with an international news organisation, Fawad had maintained PTI stalwart Jahangir Tareen had Umar removed from the post of the finance minister, but when the latter made a comeback with another portfolio, he had the former “ousted”.

Fawad tried to give an explanation, saying that the entire interview must be watched to understand the context of what he was saying but the premier stopped him from further speaking on the issue and changed the subject of discussion.

However, he told cabinet members to be careful about what they said and remain united.

Federal Water Resources Minister Faisal Vawda also spoke on the matter saying that rivalry between ministers was hurting the government. “We are told in the cabinet meeting that everything is fine, but the reality is different on the ground,” he added, criticising the performance of other ministers.

“That’s why we are unable to present the vision of the PTI. We also maintain a report of who is misleading the cabinet.”

The prime minister also stopped Vawda from speaking further on the matter.

During the meeting PM Imran directed his advisers and special assistants to submit details about their dual citizenship to the cabinet division.

The cabinet was also informed that apart from one adviser and three special assistants, all others had provided details about their assets.
