Hi,

The fighter and strike aircraft are fundamentally slaves to their design parameters.

Some aircraft are found to have an everlasting design which has taken them to tasks that they were not imagined to perform---like the upgraded B52's or the B 1 bomber which could be used as a missile truck or the newly upgraded F15 again a BVR missile truck that would complement the F-35 / F22's.

From the chinese side the JH7A could prove to be an extremely versatile aircraft that could be used to handle unconventional tasks---.

But the A10---the warthog was designed for one purpose---destroying enemy tank columns and other armor---. One would be hard put to make changes in its design to carry other kind of weaponry.

I was thinking, there is an Ayah in thw Quran, roughly translated it means, HE (as in Allah) gives respect / honor to who he wants, and disgrace to who he wants.

Reminded me of you, how all these years, people used to ridicule you, and now PAF is actually sitting on 10 of these beauties!

There are more expected, ultimately 30~36, but that will take time, if all goes well. IA

It was MK who introduced JH-7 to all of us.
It was his relentless efforts, that he got rewarded by Allah and walked out of it, holding his headup.
His case is that of an example. Every time, we will hear or see JH7 in PAF we will remember MK.

Nah, A-10 were sought in the early 80s, PAF even ran an add in Dawn / Jung with A-10 in PAF Livery. Word from US was that A-10 production had ended and there were none in stock to spare.

PAF would be better of going with turboprops attack at this point if looking at something similar to A-10, it won't offer the armor protection that A-10 enjoys but will do the job if selected / assigned.
