A way of clearing from danger

During conflicts, alot of munitions are fired. Seasoned soldiers and military men know when a munition is about to explode because it makes a certain hissing sound before exploding. This is only one method of clearing from danger. Another method involves pushing to the nearest concrete slab or obstacle, even a tree to shelter from oncoming explosives. Any other suggestions?
