Means there is no 3rd NEW platform but rather new builds of upgraded aircraft which were with PAF previously.

I heard PAF was with leonardo in this regard. M-346 but this is just a rumor for now

here are my assumptions

Number 2 Minhasians : Multi Role, Currently on JF-17's which they recently got
Number 7 Bandits : Tactical Attack, currently on Mirage 3 Rose I
Number 8 Haiders : Tactical Attack, currently on Mirage 5 PA2/PA3

J-10's and J-15 can either replace one of the TA role's, don't think Minhasians will replace their JF's at the moment, now for the third surprise which Khafee mentioned today can be a new squadron or something, that we can only speculate once we know aircraft/role, lets eat his head?

When making these assumptions it should be noted that the J-15 and J-10 dont necessairly have to be deployed togather.

Why not revive some legacy squadrons for these 2 platforms. PAF already has a higher pilot to plane ratio

3rd platform that's not LIFT...
So in addition to J10 and J15...if PAF goes for a 3rd platform...isn't that too much splintering(like Egypt)?

I can't think of J10C(P?) or J15 not being able to handle whatever role this 3rd platform is for...so wouldn't more of J10 or more of J15 have been better?
Unless it's J11 or J16...both of which share a great deal of commonality with that of J15.
