The U.S. Air Force is launching a new air-supremacy effort designed to identify and develop next-generation technologies to maintain America’s air dominance through 2030 at the same time the future of stealth is being questioned.

The service has stood up teams to experiment and conduct technology demonstrations to identify innovations that will guide the service and its platforms into future in which the Air Force expects to face more threats from advanced militaries like China or North Korea, Lt. Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski, military deputy for Air Force acquisition, told Military.com.

“We are going to be facing adversaries that are as modern as we are if not more so. This provides us the opportunity to leverage the entire world market of technology development through our collaborative activity with our allies,” she said.

The effort, which includes work with the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Pentagon’s research arm, DARPA, is looking at a wide range of future applications including hypersonics, stealth, advanced sensors, cyber technologies, drones, space systems and directed energy weapons, Pawlikowski said.

Sounds like propaganda to me in order to get more money for the military.
The US airforce is the most advanced, as well as the largest with the most combat ready aircraft.

North Korea is a joke. Most of their jets are Mig-21 or older. Way outdated.
While China is in a completely different league as North Korea, they only have around 500~600 third generation jets made of a mixture of imported Su-27/Su-30 and domestic built copies of Su-27 (J-11) as well as J-10. They are completely outnumbered in the number of combat aircraft as well as the quality of these aircraft. Their pilots are also not as well trained. Less training hours, and less intense training programs.

However, to achieve "air supremacy", it depends on (where). Do you intend to achieve total air supremacy/dominance over Chinese airspace? Then you have more than just their air force to deal with. There are thousands of AA missiles including over 300 launchers of S-300 bought from Russia. By 2030 however, these S-300 will be likely replaced by S-400 as Russia already signed deal to sell China S-400.
But then again, why would you want to achieve air supremacy over Chinese air space anyway??
