Antonov signs development agreement with WB Electronics

Ukraine's major aircraft manufacturer Antonov announced on 22 September that it had signed an agreement with Poland's WB Electronics to develop unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The agreement was signed at Ukraine's 2015 Arms and Security exhibition. As part of the collaboration, the two companies will work together to develop tactical UAVs for use by the Ukrainian armed forces.

WB Electronics recently unveiled an armed version of the Watchkeeper UAV that the company is working on with Thales as part of its bid for Poland's Gryf (Griffon) medium-range tactical UAS (TUAS) requirement. Under a memorandum of understanding signed between WB Electronics and Thales in July, WB Electronics is understood to be working on integration, development, and delivery of the system, and development of critical technologies such as datalinks, mission computers, software, along with C4I integration.
