Someone must take action against these bastards; they went too far when they burned the poor man alive.
While some might condemn Jordan's actions, I'm totally with them. This has gone out of hands and strong action must be taken.

I completely support this action. In this instance, the only way to fight violence is violence, I hold a slim hope that these type of retaliations might deter ISIS from executing innocent people and placing unrealistic demands as ransom on other nations.

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) announced Thursday that Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) fighters carried out “Operation Martyr Muath” in retaliation for the brutal killing of pilot Muath Kasasbeh at the hands of the so-called Islamic State (IS) terrorist group.

In a statement read on Jordan TV late evening, JAF said that the attack occurred at 11am, involving “dozens of RJAF fighters”, which were shown in footage as they took off, attacked what appeared to be military structures and landed back in the base.

The army said all targets were destroyed and all planes returned safe to their base.

The operation “came to uproot this terrorist organisation and destroy evil in its lurking places”, JAF said, vowing to continue the war until the terrorists are eliminated and Jordanians are spared their tyranny.

“They will pay for each hair of Muath,” the statement said.

Army briefing

The fighters flew over Amman and the southern governorate of Karak, where Kasasbeh’s hometown lies, Jordan TV said in breaking news, following the missions.

Later in the day, King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of JAF, visited army headquarters where he was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Mashal Al Zaben and other commanders of different army units.

HRH Prince Feisal also attended the meeting, according to a Royal Court statement.

During the meeting, Zaben briefed the King on the “details of the air strikes carried out by the brave men of RJAF today targeting hideouts of IS”, the statement said.

Discussions focused on several army-related issues.

King Abdullah expressed his pride in the great efforts exerted by the military in defending the country’s security and stability and safeguarding its accomplishments, expressing his confidence in the high and advanced level of JAF, in terms of their preparedness and training, the Royal Court said.

The rest of the world is simply fed up with ISIS. If Jordan certain that they can succeed with their plan of revenge and completely eradicate those terrorists then they can go right ahead. But IF Jordan fails and ISIS survives, they will most certainly retaliate.

Jordan carried out a third straight day of air strikes on ISIS targets on Saturday, it said, in response to the group’s killing of a captive Jordanian pilot.

“Sorties of air force fighters today bombed bases of the Daesh terror gang,” state television said in a bulletin, using a derogatory Arabic name for the militants.

It said some of the targets were in the Syrian city of Raqqa but gave no other details.

Jordan began on Thursday what it called an “earthshaking” response to the death of the pilot.

AMMAN – Jordanian air strikes against Daesh terrorist group over the past days are estimated to have destroyed 20 per cent of the group’s capabilities and destroyed 56 targets, a senior army officer said on Tuesday.

Royal Jordan Air Force Commander Lieutenant-General Mansour Jbour said his pilots identified the terror group’s “centres of gravity” that include leadership and training centres, sources of funding and personnel.

On Wednesday, the first day after the announcement of Jordanian pilot Muath Kasasbeh’s buring alive by the group, the Jordanian air force targeted centres of gravity centre, hitting 19 targets, the commander told a press conference convened at a military base near Amman.

“On the second day, we destroyed weapons, fuel, and equipment in line with our objectives,” Jbour added. “On the third day, we targeted Daesh personnel, where they sleep and eat.”

“We will continue air strikes against Daesh, but not with the same momentum … but in accordance to our operational plans,” the air force commander said.

He noted that over the past five weeks Jordanian and allied strikes killed 7,000 fighters, emphasized that the war against the group will continue until it is completely abolished.
