since the end of the 2016 Skirmish with Azerbaijan, Armenia been modernizing their armed forces with newer, advanced weaponry systems.
1. the Avtobaza-M system, can be used in air threat warning systems, air defence and electronic warfare systems, as well as for the collection, storage and processing of intelligence information about emitting air targets
2. BM-30 MRL, Armenia has interest in acquiring the BM-30 because it has a firing range of 90 km
3. Iskander Missile, Armenia acquired 4 Iskander missiles out of a planned 24, to replace the older SCUD and Tochka missiles. the acquirement of the Iskanders have the Azeris feared these will be used to target the Azeri capital, Baku
4. Su-30SMs, the Su-30SM will be Armenia's first combat fighter jet being able to counter the Azeri MiG-29s and being able to supplement the S-300 to protect Yerevan's skies
5. Armenia is also going to be the newest recipient of the 9K333 Verba MANPAD with 200 on order
