I can't say I'm "100%" sure this was the case, but at the same time I've heard so much about his political party and his views, that I wouldn't be completely surprised if he had done this. we all know how propaganda works he could of been saying " India only lost 20 soldiers, China lost 1,000 soldiers, we won and couldn't of done that without my strategizing"
You are a professional, you should be able to spot wankers miles away. |0|

  • A video of some helicopters flying over a lake is falsely going viral as Apache helicopters of the Indian Air Force (IAF) flying over Lake Pangong in Ladakh. However, we found that these are actually Apache choppers belonging to the US military flying over a lake in Arizona and has no relation to India at all. This claim comes in the aftermath of reports of the Indian Army increasing their presence and strength of troops in the Ladakh sector. Reports have claimed that weapons and equipment have also been increased in the area as tensions with China and India continue to simmer along the LAC.CLAIM

WHAT WE FOUND
On going through the comments on the tweet by the Twitter handle Maj Gen Brajesh Kr, we saw that someone had posted that the video was from Lake Havasu, Arizona.
Apache Choppers Over Pangong Tso? No, Video is From Arizona, USA

(Photo: Screenshot/Twitter)
Using this as a clue, we searched Instagram with the location tag Lake Havasu. On searching with this tag, we came across several videos taken at Lake Havasu and came across the same video, uploaded by an Instagram handle called flight_goonies.
(Photo: Screenshot/Instagram)
While the location of the video was tagged Lake Havasu, we found that the hashtags said that the chopper was an AH-64 Apache. It also mentioned ‘Taco Tuesday’.

Using this as a clue and with the keywords ‘Lake Havasu Taco Tuesday race’, we searched Facebook and came across the same video, uploaded by a verified profile called Hangar 24 Craft Brewing, with the title ‘Apaches’.
The caption of the video said that the location of the video was Lake Havasu and many users also mentioned Lake Havasu in their comments.

One of the comments on this post was by a user called Ron Warren who said that it was one of the best flights of his life and also added more photos and videos of the same day.
On going through Warren’s Facebook profile, we found a photo of him in the uniform of the US Army, as well as a photo of him with an Apache AH-64.
Further, we found other videos of Lake Havasu on Facebook and Instagramwhich matched the visuals of the viral video - the same hills, and the same lake with water of the same colour.

We also searched on YouTube with relevant keywords and found a video tagged Lake Havasu with similar visuals, which also stated that it showed Apache helicopters flying low over Lake Havasu.

Lastly, we checked photos of the Apache AH-64 helicopter used by the US Army, and found that they matched with those seen in the viral video.
Picture of Apache Ah-64 from Wikipedia (top); picture of chopper from viral video (bottom)

We also corroborated photos of the AH-64 chopper from Boeing’s official website.

Moreover, choppers of the Indian Air Force have the Indian tricolour and the the IAF insignia, both of which are missing on the choppers seen in the viral video. Below are photos of Apaches owned by the Indian Air Force.

Therefore, it is clear that a video of Apache choppers belonging to the US Army flying over Lake Havasu, Arizona, is being falsely shared as IAF choppers over Ladakh’s Lake Pangong.

India's shopping for lightweight mountain-friendly tanks post China tussles

NEW DELHI: The government, amid border tensions with China, has given the army approval for emergency procurement of lightweight tanks that can be deployed in high-altitude conditions.

This will be a significant upgrade allowing the reintroduction of light tanks that can play a critical role in areas such as Ladakh, where they can be more nimble than the heavier main battle tanks, informed sources told ET. The acquisition will be made under the emergency purchase nod given after the recent Ladakh standoff to bolster defences.

The deployment of new Type 15 light tanks by China along the LAC in eastern Ladakh in late April has come as a wake up call.

Deterrence measures
The army has been given the go-ahead for urgent purchases amid signs that Beijing intends to keep the border hot.

The army is looking for air-transportable tanks that can be landed or airdropped at forward locations for lightning-quick deployments to counter aggression, sources said. Unlike China, which has an extensive road network connecting the border, India’s infrastructure is still matching up and is being upgraded, though forward airfields have been developed at strategic locations.

The decision to go ahead with a new light tank is part of a series of major emergency procurements cleared by the government at a critical meeting last week. This includes new loitering munitions from Israel, more Heron unmanned aerial vehicles, additional Sig Sauer assault rifles, man-portable surface-to-air defence missiles, Spike anti-tank guided missiles and a range of ammunition.

“The satellite imagery visuals of Chinese T-15 / ZTPQ light tanks camouflaged in the depth areas of eastern Ladakh, during the recent standoff, is a wakeup call for upgrading deterrence in areas where medium-category tanks are difficult to employ,” former director general, mechanised forces, Lt Gen AB Shivane (retd), has written in a detailed study on the reintroduction of light tanks for the government-backed Centre of Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS). The retired officer has suggested that light tanks would add to the credible deterrence posture and war-fighting capability on the northern front front where medium-category tanks cannot reach. He has also suggested that these new tanks be made in India.

Limited options
However, for emergency procurement, India will have limited options as few nations currently produce these tanks. While China is not an option, the US has embarked on a light tank under its Mobile Protected Firepower Program but it’s currently at prototype stage. Russia has the air-transportable Sprut SDM1 light tank that has commonalities with the T72 and T90s operated by India.

While India has a robust tank force, all of them are heavy main battle tanks — T72s, T90s and the Arjun — considered more suitable for operations in the plains. While these tanks have been sent to the Himalayan border as well, navigating them to difficult borders has been a major issue.
India has operated light tanks in the past that came in handy during the 1947-48 Kashmir operations as well as the 1962 war but these have been slowly phased out as the world moved to heavier armour.

Chinese media claim Indians lost 18 T90 tanks in flooding accident.

Beijing claims that India has lost 18 T-90 tanks along border with China

BEIJING, (BM) – Several Russian T-90 tanks, which are in service with India, could be completely unusable in a future military conflict with China, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing Chinese news agency Sohu.
At the moment, about the loss of 18 military vehicles is known – the latter did not even have time to enter the battle, accourding the Chinese publication.
As it turned out, the weakness of the T-90 tanks, unlike the “seventy-second,” which India has no problems with, is the presence of electronics.

The latter became a stumbling block – due to heavy rains, the electronic components installed on the T-90 tanks became unusable and the military vehicles had to be evacuated as unsuitable for further participation in military operations.
Chinese sources report that in reality, the loss of T-90 tanks, which India intended to throw into battle, is much more severe – up to 32 tanks could be disabled due to flooding
“According to foreign media reports, recent heavy rains in the Gallevan Valley caused flash floods, while water levels rose and Indian soldiers in the interior of the valley became victims of the flood. The soldiers were able to easily evacuate, but some heavy weapons, such as tanks, could not be quickly transported” the agency reports.
“In the end, as follows from the information, there were T-90 tanks that were damaged before they were thrown into battle. The reason for this is that after the flood, electronic components, wiring and the like cease to be safe and reliable. This is not without electronic equipment. This can be called a severe loss,” also Sohu said in the publication.
It should be clarified that in this controversial region it did rain heavily and floods began, however, the Indian side does not officially comment on the loss of its tanks, even despite the statements of local media.
India wants to buy the newest Russian tank – perhaps the best in the world right now

India is considering buying Russian tanks on the basis of the Armata platform, BulgarianMilitary.com reported on June 26 citing a source in the Russian military-industrial complex.
“The product is being prepared for export. India showed interest in him,” said the interlocutor of Zvezda newspaper. According to him, experts decide what of the equipment of the latest tank can be exported and what not.
The fact that India is considering the purchase of Armata tanks is also mentioned in the military-analytical publications of the country. Note that such publications in the Indian media do not appear for the first time. So, in 2018, Indian Defense News reported that India plans to purchase 1,770 modern tanks to replace the obsolete T-72 and T-14. Armata is a candidate for this deal.
The interest of foreign customers in armored vehicles on the Armata platform was reported by CEO of Uralvagonzavod Alexander Potapov in February 2018. According to him, most likely, talk about export deliveries will be conducted only after the tank is acquired by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It was previously reported that serial deliveries of promising T-14 tanks on the Armata platform to Russian troops will begin in 2021.
The T-14 Armata is the first tank in the world that implements the concept of network-centric warfare in its design concept, where the T-14 is used primarily as a reconnaissance, target designation and fire adjustment system for self-propelled guns, SAM and T-90 tanks from its tactical support link.

In addition, it is the first tank in the world with an uninhabited tower. The crew of the car is in a sealed armored capsule in front of the hull. This allows you to ensure its safety in the event of an explosion of ammunition. The crew of the tank can operate in a chemical attack or nuclear war.
T-14 is hardly noticeable in the infrared, radio and magnetic ranges. In particular, it reduces the distance of anti-tank guided missiles, including Javelin, by 2.7 times. This means that the calculation of these complexes will be more vulnerable to return fire.
The T-14 was presented to the general public at the Victory Parade in 2015 along with other products based on the “Almaty”. At the Army-2018 forum, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov announced that more than 100 tanks had been contracted.
India asked Russia to speed up the delivery of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system
On June 22 India asked Russia to speed up the delivery of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system [SAM) against the backdrop of worsening relations with China, learned BulgarianMilitary.com citing The Economic Times.
The Government of India has begun to fill the gaps in the country’s defenses by stockpiling and completing procurement. The country is preparing for the worst-case scenario, including a war on two fronts, according to the Indian The Economic Times.

India is interested in accelerating the delivery of Russian S-400 Triumph. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will discuss such an opportunity during a three-day visit to Russia. An urgent need arose due to tensions on the Sino-Indian border.
Moscow has postponed the delivery of air defense systems worth $ 5.4 billion until December 2021 due to the proliferation of COVID-19. India paid for the purchase of the S-400 last year.
China, which has strong strategic cooperation with Russia, has already acquired an air defense system. This fact only adds to the problems for India. According to the sources of the Indian newspaper, the Armed Forces of the country were ordered to be prepared for any surprises.
India seeks to explore the distribution of supplies. An accelerated schedule can be developed taking into account the historical military relations between the two countries.
Another key issue for discussion with Russia is the reliability of supplies. The agenda of the Minister of Defense of India consists of two parts. The first is to speed up the procurement of spare parts for the Sukhoi and MiG aviation formations in the country.

LoL....

Back in 2001, when India mobilized and brought 500,000 troops to its border in response to the purported "terrorist" attack on its Parliament (read false flag). They lost over 1000 troops without even firing a single bullet. They will lose a whole lot to the elements in Ladakh if they try to keep forces at military footing through the winter :)

India should deal with China iron fist and post 500K soldier on border with China, same as they did on border with Pakistan Kashmir.

Indian special forces member killed in China border showdown

02 September, 2020

561865_94386496.jpg

A soldier of India's special forces was killed in the latest border showdown with Chinese troops.

NEW DELHI (AFP) - A Tibetan-origin soldier with India s special forces was killed in the latest border showdown with Chinese troops on their contested Himalayan border, a Tibetan representative said Tuesday.

The death is the first reported from two incidents in 48 hours on the border which has heightened tensions between the giant nations just two months after a battle that left at least 20 Indian soldiers dead.

India and China, which fought a border war in 1962, have accused each other of seeking to cross their unofficial frontier in the Ladakh region in a bid to gain territory on Saturday night, and then again on Monday.

Neither side has announced any casualties but Namghyal Dolkar Lhagyari, a member of the Tibetan parliament in exile, told AFP that the Tibetan-origin soldier was "martyred during the clash" on Saturday night.

She said another member of the Special Frontier Force that reportedly includes many ethnic Tibetans who oppose China s claim to their home region was wounded in the operation.

"Provocative military movements"

The world s two most populous countries have sent tens of thousands of troops to the region since a brutal June 15 battle fought with wooden clubs and fists.

India has said 20 troops were killed. China acknowledged casualties but did not give figures.

The two sides blamed each other for the latest incidents.

India s defence ministry said Chinese troops "carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo" at the border on Saturday.

China s People s Liberation Army said that India was "seriously violating China s territorial sovereignty" with its operation staged Monday and demanded that Indian troops withdraw.

India s foreign ministry said Tuesday that China had caused the latest incident "even as ground commanders of the two sides were in discussions to de-escalate the situation."

Indian media reports, quoting military sources, said PLA forces tried to take hilltops traditionally claimed by India around Pangong Tso, a lake at 4,200 metres (13,500 feet) altitude.

India s defence ministry said its troops "undertook measures to strengthen our positions and thwart Chinese intentions to unilaterally change facts on ground."

The Business Standard newspaper said that the SFF had been used to take heights that China considers its own. The Indian government does not comment on the special force s operations.

Amid calls for boycotts of Chinese goods, India has stepped up economic pressure on China since the June battle and repeatedly warned that relations would suffer unless its troops pull back.

India has banned at least 49 Chinese owned-apps, including the TikTok video platform, frozen Chinese firms out of contracts and held up Chinese goods at customs posts.
