Chengdu Aircraft Corporation is developing a Wing Loong II unmanned bomber aircraft that will be unveiled at the Airshow China 2016 (11th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai).

The Wing Loong II is an unmanned bomber aircraft which can carry 16 missiles. The unmanned bomber aircraft can be armed with a variety of weapons including laser-guided bombs and missiles to attack and destroy air or ground-based targets.

The Wing Loong II has a maximum take-off weight of 4,200kg and can carry loads of 480kg on external stores. The aircraft has a maximum flight speed of 370 km/h, can operate over a range of 200 km, and fly up to a maximum height of approximately 9000m.

The platform of new Chinese unmanned bomber aircraft resembles the MQ-9 Reaper high-altitude long-endurance UCAV, which is manufactured by American firm General Atomics primarily for the US Air Force
