Thanks for posting this, I find it interesting to see how Christians around the world celebrate this occasion. It seems there was more information and more celebrations where I used to live, despite the claims that Texas and the South (ern part of the United States) are ultra-conservative and bible-based. Hopefully this weekend will be a peaceful one, and Christians will be able to celebrate in peace, without disruptions and/or violence.

I think Good Friday or Holy Week is observed differently depending on the culture. In the Philippines, we have the chanting of the Passion of Christ. It is a book of verses with 5 lines that rhyme. The standard reading is from 9pm of Holy Thursday until 3pm of Good Friday. But some readers do it from Monday to Sunday.

If only Good Friday's significance is understood and followed, maybe the world will be a better place.

@Corzhens I always enjoy seeing stories and pictures/videos from those areas such as the Philippines and Brazil, where holy days are celebrated with relish, and the traditions seem to be more appreciated than in societies that lean more toward the secular.
