More than half the States in America have laws that say you must obey any orders from a cop, even if the orders are illegal. One of the ways this is abused is how they react when you try to record video (or audio) of police actions. Even though both federal and state courts (in every state) have ruled that the police must allow you to record them. many cops will order you to stop recording them and become violent when you refuse to comply. Hopefully, laws requiring them to record their own actions and forbidding them from stopping civilians recording will become common. Where these laws have become the practice, crime has gone down, and violence by and against police has gone down. The jurisdictions with this practice have seen immense improvements in relations. Push for these laws.
