Covert operation to capture the Marwan aided by the US?

There had been speculations lately that the covert operation to capture among the America's most wanted terrorist Marwan that killed 44 Philippine policemen was backed up by US. The provided the Philippines the intelligence and even said that encouraged the country to carry out the covert mission even it would have been already to risky. So, is US partly to blame for the murder of those 44 policemen?

Yes indeed there has been a speculation that the US is involved in the hunt for Marwan ( An Indonesian terrorist responsible in Bali bombing). Some even said that a Amrican soldier ks amonb the dead in the clash which also kills 44 SAF. I think giving intel about the matter is good however if the US encourage the attack it is a different story and needs to be investigated. But I dont have a say yet about the matter since it is still under investigation.

You're misunderstanding something here. The Special Action Forces (SAF) were trained for that very purpose: to combat terrorists in a semi-military capacity. But yes, the United States had a hand in informing the PNP about Marwan's whereabouts. The bounty came from the federal government after all. The American informant even demanded to have the bounty for himself (the nerve of that guy). The death of the fallen 44 shouldn't be blamed on a single entity, however. What happened was the fault of the following:

• the higher-ups who knew about Operation Exodus but were careless with their instructions
• the higher-ups who knew about the operation but were quick to wash their hands clean
  
• the people/groups/organizations who could've helped them but chickened out
• the MILF and BIFF militants who had every intention to kill the SAF and steal their weapons and gears
