Is the Libyan government still functioning as a genuine government? I have the impression that the rebels, not only ISIS but other rebel groups as well, are more in place than the government of Libya. So maybe that's the reason why the foreign troops did not even lift a finger to inform the Libyan government of their military operation against ISIS.The Libyan government has not approved foreign intervention I read. That's a breach to Libya sovereignty.
Are they really present in Sabratha? Did not know that.
Problem is the country is split between West and East, with some ethnic groups consolidating parts of the south. When it becomes that way, where people are essentially in free for all looting, the religious groups will make calls against them. And will make calls for order. This is why ISIS or other groups have any appeal to people. Because Arab/African world is still stuck in tribalistic mindset. The Libyan government has not approved foreign intervention I read. That's a breach to Libya sovereignty.
Don't worry too much, in the end, ISIS is majority Arab and Arabs are familiar with it. We know everything about the organization and in the Arab world ISIS is seen as just another participant in the Syrian war. It won't grow out of that.Yes, we hear of lots of coordinated attacks against ISIS. However, It seems that their tentacles are slowly but surely spreading into more countries. The thing that bothers me is that there is hardly any data on how effective these raids have been in restricting this organization's movements.

The Sabratha city was taken back. Libya needs a Unity government where this equal representation. Right now the main two powers there control either the West or the East. Therefore they should allow each other to have their own representatives govern these areas they control under some sort of unified parliament or something. If one side with the tide(Haftar led which France is supporting) is going to get stubborn and try to takeover the whole nation, then there won't be a solution to chaos. On the other hand, the Loyalists announced that they chased ISIL from Lithi in Benghazi.
