That was the North-west: I counted Gujarat there arbitrarily. Just next door, and then below that, are Maharashtra and Goa. Very different places, and very different dances. There are half-a-dozen in Maharashtra alone. Watch this, for instance, the Lavani:

I had in mind the South next; leaving the east for the finale. Anyone who hasn't seen the Pung Cholom hasn't lived.

Afterthought: More than anything else, I wanted to share the incredible diversity of India with those friends who actually look at these. Just imagine being in Delhi, and the kind of eclectic crowd one encounters; and then having to explain to visitors that Delhi and Calcutta are ethnically the most majoritarian, and that in Bangalore, for instance, there is so much more diverse a population, and you can't tell who is from where.
