While the 2015 NATO Tiger Meet has just ended the French airmen come home with two trophies. Two rewards that come to crown the work done by both pilots in their cockpits, but also by the mechanics on the exterior aspect of the aircraft. The very surprising green paint affixed to a plane of the EC-1/7 seems to have been appreciated.

The Dassault Rafale C Green EC-1/7 Provence indeed takes second place behind the beautiful Turkish General Dynamics F-16C. We must recognize that teams of 192 Filo had really done a work of craftsmanship to fully repaint their Fighting Falcon in a classic Tiger delivered but highly successful.
Obviously daring artists of Provence has paid since this also marks the second French excellence in this field.

The other reward, more interesting on a tactical level, is the first place gained by the Rafale crews of the EC-1/7 Provence during flight performances. Mastery of French pilots but also the mechanics of the Rafale allowed the Air Force to grab the coveted first place.

No doubt they will retain many memories from Konya AB Concerning their competitors, they will surely remember a .... green rafale.

The French always have the fancy designs and equipment but when it comes to the real war then it is another story. Those designs look good but I am guessing that those would never go on a jet being used for a mission or in war.
