German Armed Forces

Since World War 2 Germany's armed forces have been quite small & had limited involvement in international military affairs. Do you think that in the future they will have a more involved approach? The Germany military was reluctant to involve itself in the middle east conflict in the last decade. What does the future hold?

I think the world is still fearful of a strong German military. With that being said I think Germany will start to take a commanding position on the global scale as their economy remains fairly stable and the rest of the worlds falters.

Yes, Germany do seem to take a back seat in global military matters don't they? I'm hardly surprised really, they are still trying to repair the damage that World War II and the Nazi regime did to their reputation. Of course, times have changed and Frau Merkel is hardly Hitler. However, regarding Arab - Israeli conflict, I think it is sensible for Germany to remain out of the picture in any matter involving the Jewish religion.
