I want to know how Venezuela is faring after the death of Hugo Chavez. I do know from the news that there has been unrest and opposition figures like Nicolas Lopez have already been arrested upon the ascension of Maduro.

Further, oil prices have recently dropped. Since Venezuela produces oil, how does it affect their economic stability?

They are printing to much money and oil prices are slipping and sliding. As a result, the people are having to stand in long lines just to get supplies and troops are patrolling to make sure rules are followed.

Recently, Venezuela was included in the list of most miserable countries with a misery index high enough for it to get into the top 10. I don't think this has something to do with the death of Hugo Chavez. More like exacerbated by the leader's passing. Venezuelans may have been too dependent on him. Their current leaders are still trapped in the shadow of Chavez.

How money has Venezuela loss with the depletion in oil prices? Economically, the country seems to be affected greatly by the oil price drop. It is tough to say I just think that things are going a certain way for Venezuela.

Now I wonder who’s going to climb to power our who's going to be able to settle the country down and maybe calm some of this unrest.

I would look at some of the candidates if any are willing to take the heat. It is sad for any country to lose a leader. The hard part is finding someone who is willing to care for the people.

The last time I heard about that country there were a app that let you avoid food rationing. Venezuela isn't doing so well right now. It wouldn't be surprising if a right winger took over afterward.

I wonder who that right winger would be? There are so many people who can come in and control that country. I hope for the next person who takes on that responsibility that they go and lead the country to brighter future if that would happen.

The US would love to have a leader that oppose all these socialistic policies. Maybe Henrique Capriles or another critic of Chavez. These countries in South America either tilted toward right wingers like Alberto Fujimoro or go far right like the Pink Tide's folks.

The last time I heard anything about Venezuela was that the government was seizing supermarkets after blaming them of causing shortages in the market. There have been a lot of unrest because of the economy and the government calining it is being sabotaged by elements in the society.
