What many people do not realize is the military aide and technology transfers benefit both USA and Isreal alot. Isreal has played an important part in researching and perfecting the US missle defense program. Since Isreal regularly receives missle attacks, the system is always being tested and improved on. They then share this knowledge with USA.

U.S.-Israel Military Relations: An Israeli Perspective

The United States defense establishment is a major partner in Israel's strategic balance and a pillar of its defensive shield. And Israel has contributed to American tactics and weapons systems. At the same time, no American soldier has ever fought in a battle in which Israel was fighting with its Arab neighbors, nor is that expected to happen in the future. The statement that the U.S. is committed to Israel's security has been repeatedly made by the U.S. President and key U.S. political and military leaders. America's commitment to Israel's Qualitative Military Edge (QME) has been reiterated and enhanced by presidents and congresses of both political parties, even as the United States replaced the Soviet Union as the source of much of the Arab world's weaponry

It looks like they love each other so much. That's what you call "Friends With Benefits" on a more serious tone.

This Israel-USA connivance is another paradigm I don't want to meddle in too deeply unless proven to be with merit. It is possible that the USA knew what Israel was planning to do with the Palestinians in Gaza but remained mum so as not to jeopardize their mutually beneficial relationship.

Question I'd have to ask is: how benefits more from this relationship? Israel provides the U.S with Intel and in return they get . . .

There's more to this relationship than mutual benefits. But the truth, unfortunately is something we'll never learn. The best we can is theorize.

This relationship is one where both sides benefit or profit from the friendship otherwise they would not be getting along well depends on how they view each other in the long term. I would be surprised if they knew of the secrets the other had and can't bring it out or they will be betrayed or turn to war for telling secrets to others. So they must have a neutral friendship not one where they tell things freely have to be careful with how they act in front of each other.

USA knows what Isreal is up to, probably Isreal secretly tells them exactly what they are doing. For the anti-missle systems, there are Isreali scientists working on improving the systems, and they are feeding that information back to USA. It is an ideal alliance because both Isreal and USA are mutally benefiting, and they are both saving resources and money.
