The USMC's 8-wheeled, 21-foot long, 12-ton LAV-25 (Light Armored Vehicle) can actually float, though you wouldn't know it from watching this video. No, the water is not supposed to be flowing in like that, as you can probably tell from the cameraman's increasingly pained "Oh boy!"

(Warning, some coarse language because well obviously.)

LAVs aren't particularly seaworthy even at their best. In fact, they aren't rated for any body of water with waves. There's also a joke that LAV's don't float so much as they slowly sink. Still, they really can get your across a river if you do it right, and this situation is obviously not intended behavior. The likely cause was a mistake with the "hull plugs" that are mandatory for keeping things shipshape, and it looks like in this case they were either put in wrong or maybe not at all.

These guys are just lucky they drove in slowly and didn't do a belly flop instead.
