In the UK, the parents of the two 15-year-old girls and the 16-year-old have blamed the police for not doing more to stop their children going to Syria to join IS. I see the parents as responsible as they are children and should know where they are and what they are doing. If they live under the same roof they should have suspected something, checked their rooms, phones and computers. I don't see how they can blame the police when they didn't even know what was happening and should have.

One told her father she was going to a wedding, surely he would have asked whose wedding and where? These parents need to take responsibility and monitor their own children.

It's certainly a surprise that their plans went undetected. If the parents didn't see it happening under their noses, how on earth do they expect the police to know? They are just looking for someone to blame when the truth is, they need to be looking at themselves.

The parents are to be blamed but the UK gov should monitor/tracks all suspicious activities.
