A spokesman for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) military announced at the IDEX show in Abu Dhabi that it had ordered nine helicopters from AgustaWestland: six of them for search-and-rescue purposes and three for VIP transport.
AgustaWestland told IHS Jane's that all the helicopters would be its twin-engine AW139.
