Could you provide the specifications of all subs manufacture in Indonesia and how they are different from the scorpion and dolphin?
Thank you and good luck to our brothers and sisters in Indonesia, a country that we love and adore.
I think he is referring to the French scorpion and the Germane dolphin.Hello again brothers.
Sorry for the last couple months I'm a bit busy at work. Travels alot these days.
But now I'm back in the forum even though missed so many defense news to post.
Oh.. by the way didn't mean to misleading the titles. Actually this is the first submarines to be build in Indonesia.
The first two of three chang bogo submarines (type 209 derivative) we buy from South Korea are build in South Korea.
So this is part of agreement with the South Korean Govt. to build the third submarines on Indonesian soil after we completed all the infrastructure's we needed and the learning curve we gain from the first two submarines.
There are 4 module each subs to be build and assembled.

Do you mean Scorpene and Dolphin? bcoz AFAIK Scorpion are old U.S. nuclear submarine and soviet B-427 whiskey class
These submarines (Dolhin, Scorpene, Chang Bogo) actually came from the same class in terms of equipment and weapon system.
This three submarines are 55 to 60 meters+ Diesel Electric class with optional AIP features depends on its price. Design, characteristic, and performance are major difference between each others
Despite it's heavily upgrades to meet 21'st century requirements, Chang Bogo submarines have similar design with type 209 which is derivative and much older design compared with Scorpene and Dolphin. Price wise it's way much cheaper too.
