A high-ranking official of ISIS, who holds the position equivalent to defense minister is believed ot have been killed by an air strike in northeastern Syria, this according to US officials. Omar al-Shishani, a Georgian fighting with the ISIS jihadists in Syria is the target of the US air strikes of March 4. An unidentified US official said Shishani was killed together with 12 ISIS fighters.

The problem is uncertainty with drones it is hard to fully acknowledge a certain kill. Unless you put the bullet in between their eyes yourself, you can not truly list an enemy as killed. ISIS is a tricky organization, they would wait and show themselves to be alive at the right moments for publicity.
