Last week in New Jersey, there was jet test flights that caused a few hours of sonic booms. The flights were conducted over the Atlantic Ocean, so no windows were broken, but residents of several shore towns reported houses shaking.

Wow!! That's really amazing. The plane sure was flying low, but it's scary to think that the windows weren't designed to withstand more pressure than that. I guess the up side is that they will now be replaced, and no doubt replaced with ones of a more modern design, that will be able to withstand not only the pressure of a fighter jet flying low overhead, but also hopefully other types of potential blasts.
