I think main features of the block -lll
AESA radar, long range BVR PL-15 ,more use of composite materials, wing would be more stroger to bear the load.
Use of composite materials will reduce the weight , so the Thrust to weight Ratio(TWR) will improve. So overall it will be new beast in old clothes of block -2.

Block III has NATO standard pylons.

Any chance of upgrade in the future?
That ultimately is the plan. There are a few issues to be worked out, once that is done, they will start swapping.

So as a recap let's list what new goodies we are getting with the Block-III ...
  • KLJ-7A AESA radar with more than 1000 TRMs
  • Big new holographic HUD
  • HMD&CS
  • Enhanced EW Suite
  • Additional chin-mounted HP
  • 3-Axis FBW and revamped control surfaces, ensuring better and more prompt handling
  • Revamped Avionics Suite and Mission Computer
  • Revamped & Relocated MAWS and RWR Passive Sensors
  • Integration of PL-15 BVRAAM and PL-10 HOBS WVRAAM
  • Perhaps also Dual Racks
These will result in a quantum leap in the capabilities of the Thunder.

I like how people are using the term "NATO standard" as a quality standard, while it is an interoperatibility standard, a compaitability standard. U can champer an Ak in 5.56 NATO and call it NATO standard and chamber an M4 in 7.62x39 and it won't be "NATO standard"
Block III has NATO standard pylons.

NATO standard is a term made by NATO for compaitable systems, like if we say something is of NATO standard, it doesn't mean its high quality, it means NATO supply lines, logistics can be used to arm/refuel/supply the weapon system.

True, and what exactly does it mean in the Pakistani context?
