Ohh wait you are from the USA, you kinda do live in a country like that. Similar situations happen at least in Russia, China and North Korea... and probably quite a few smaller countries that I am not aware of.

But this is not how we do things in Europe.

Britain is starting to become the same way along with other European countries. People are fighting it but it is hard. Basically they spread paranoia and risks of terrorist attacks to justify taking away rights. Every time this happens it means the terrorists are winning. The reason why western countries are more successful is because they have more rights.

Terror is caused by how one reacts to a situation. So if one acts irrationally and in a state of fear, then they are in a state of terror. The reality is you have a better chance of winning the lottery then getting killed by a terrorist attack. You are like 10,000 times more likely to get run over by a car or get into a car accident then being a victim of a terrorist attack.

The USA and other western countries have spent trillions of dollars fighting terrorism for a danger that isn't really there. They would have saved more lives improving road safety.

But the military industrial complex likes people to be in a state of terror to justify massive military spending.
