Iran's FARS news agency reported on 8 December that Mexico has expressed interest in procuring Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), but sources told IHS Jane's this claim is inaccurate.

Mexican sources told IHS Jane's that the Mexican military and security forces have not considered procuring Iranian military equipment of any kind.

Nonetheless, Alaeddín Boroujerd, president of Iranian National Assembly's National Security and Foreign Affairs Commission, met with Mexican senators José Rosas Aispuro, Gabriela Cuevas Barrón, Marcela Guerra Castillo, and Ana Gabriela Guevara at the Mexican Senate on 2 December.

The meeting was part of bilateral parliamentary effort that began in January 2014 to increase diplomatic ties between the countries, which had been at a low level for decades.

Lol, what is it with Iran trying to shape itself as an important player in the military history. All of the equipments Iran has are pretty old that were sold to Iran prior the revolution. Iran doesn't have a solid military industry neither what they posses is indigenous Iranian made. The basic technology Iran brag about is actually north Korean, Russian/soviet era and Chinese.
