I have stumbled upon this news article. So, it is still a revolutionary organization. Hmm? It might imply their ulterior motives on this end. That there is still no peace ongoing, even before the fallen 44 event. That it was only a cease fire. So, the peace they are waiting for is the BBL?
Now that the cease fire is broken. What next for Southern Philippines? Aside from MILF, there are a lot of armed groups operating there. Heck, all over the Philippines. What if the BBL is passed, should the other armed groups also require land as part of the peace? What if the NPA wants autonomy too?
