New Turkish-made main battle tank Altay has received interest from Pakistan and Gulf countries.

Altay, Turkey’s first domestic main battle tank in the making, has received much interest from the country’s allies including Pakistan and Gulf countries, said the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) head Ismail Demir said January 7, 2016, during a presentation at Turkish parliament.

With the current state of the middle east, it's only natural that the Gulf countries will show interest towards new and improved war machines. And with the recent incidents involving Pak military-endorsed terrorist attacks in India, the relationship between the two subcontinental powerhouses has been pretty bad. And with the USA strongly condemning Pakistan's actions, they've turned to their other allies for help and support, in this case, Turkey.
