BBC News - Boko Haram crisis: Nigeria army 'warned about Baga attack'
An investigation by Amnesty International has revealed that government officials were warned of a Boko Haram attack on Baga. It is reported that military commanders at a local base had warned the government of Boko Haram movement months before the actual attack and repeatedly called for reinforcements. Some reports claim that 2000 civilians were killed in the attack, in conflict with government reports which claim 150 dead.
