Not everyone thinks in the same way, those North Koreans who try to escape of the country may have their reasons, maybe they have a family in other countries, or they just simply want to live like people in other countries, maybe they want something they can't have in there.
About the starving, as I have investigated, they had difficult times with food a long time ago, but that is not occurring nowadays.

Also, maybe they don't have oil, but a few months ago, the US government, proposed to the Chinese, that they should take out North Korea together and then take equal parts of the territory, so you can never say a place don't have value, because every place has its value, and US government may want just to eliminate an enemy and the lands may be the loot.

About hacking? if you say for the alleged hack to Sony Pictures, other sources said that it was not the North Koreans, that is not clear yet, you just can't argue with what the Press say, or have you been brainwashed by all the press?

No I am not sure about the Sony hack, which is why I wasn't specific. However, there is a building near the palace in the capital that is said/known to be filled with young soldiers (militarised students? no idea) hacking. It is true we only know what we are fed ny the media, but that is always true about everything - we are not making policy here, just discussing, so we have to make certain assumptions that there is no smoke without fire. The same could be said of your statement about the Yanks and the Chinese plotting to separate the land. What value is there for the USA in doing that? Currently they can use the issue to keep ships and forces in the area - much to China's chargrin.

That would just be rumors, nothing sure, If they hack, they may be defending of other countries hacking them, and yeah, some things seems too real when appear on press, but almost everything is manipulated, so to make assumptions you at least need to investigate further, just basing on what says the local news, or the western media, is just like looking to one side, you also need to see the alternative press at least, and research about the fact, about US proposing to China, it may be false, it may be truth, but there is only one truth and that truth is that almost all political problems in the world are because of the US government.

Those are specialist on creating chaos in the world, and nothing good can come of them.

There is a group of major hackers called "Anonymous" that confirmed it was not North Korea that hacked Sony Pictures. It was some group called "Lizard Squad" that hacked Sony.

That doesn't necessarily mean they weren't supported by the North Koreans in the attack. It's clear that the main reason behind the attack was the movie "The Interview", so we don't really know who it is was, even if North Korea deny it, and Lizard Squad take responsibility for it.

Oh, I am not denying that North Korea may have had some involvement in it, but it is strongly believed to be a inside job that had nothing to do with the cyber war between NK and US (if you watch news about the net, you will see that there have attacks and retaliations between the two nations of late. I have been watching it and find it amusing as h*%). What their motives may have been (whether it was about the movie or they were attempting to prove something or whatever) I have no clue. I do know though... it is a bit funny to watch them flop around trying to keep up.

I think one of the saddest parts of all of this is that if they removed their government and replaced it with a better one, the North Korea people could go far. If they were able to unify Korea once again, even as small as the nation is.... I can image the achievements they can make. Maybe I am just bias because I half Korean myself, but I see that the PEOPLE of North Korea have great potential. It is their government that is holding them down.

Yeah that's true, however it is easier said than done. The "government" of North Korea is not so much that, but rather a family led system. It's honestly beyond my understanding of what goes through their mind, and how they can let their country run like this. But I guess we will never really understand. But as it stands, those people don't seem to have any way harnessing their true potential and developing themselves.

It would be awesome if we could sneak every citizen out of the country in one night. Kim would wake up a very confused and pissed off man. LMAO

Yes it would be easier said than done, but achievable... however, it would have to be a global effort for it to happen. Problem is, and I understand their reluctance on this, it could involve a very ugly war to make it happen. I ran the scenario many times in my head, but have yet to think of a peaeful means for it to be achieved... any ideas?

Has North Korea or anyone managed to miniaturize shielding for nuclear warheads ? I highly doubt that. Nuclear weapons put out a lot of radiation. So even if you could fit one inside a suitcase, unless the suitcase is shielded, radiation detectors will pick it up. Most airports and sea ports have these detectors.

So they might have a minature warhead but they will need a ton of lead to shield it enough to get it past the radiation detectors.
