Reports released by the income taxdepartment on Wednesday show 4.1 crore Indians filed income tax returns in 2014-15. But two crore tax filers declared zero taxable income.
Another two crore Indians paid average annual income tax of Rs 42,456. Only one crore taxpayers paid income tax of more than Rs 1 lakh.
