@Khafee now it's evident on other forum that negotiations are on between Pak and US guy also mentioned negotiations between Pak and other countries too about jetts what other contendors you see EF? Gripen?? You think PAF can have Gripen since Volvo making her own engine? And PAF have erieye? Or EF? Or second plane from US? US now thrusting the orders to her Allies for Boeing before Philippines now upgrade Egypt AH4 for 3 billion?? You thong second jet from US for PAF if third party pays? Oil prices are gone up soon will touch 60$ per barrel.

Instead of buying Griffin why not buy most of the electronics and subsystems. Those can be negotiated and built in kamra then integrated onto our JF-17s.

Wasnt this PAFs plan from the start before the Indians ruined everything?

First of all can we have that money to buy, 2 F16 blk 70 cost less then one F15
Secondly there fly hours are much expensive then our f16s others in inventory
Third all new infrastructure structure required to establish for maintenance
Last entirely fresh training of our pilots on this new plateform, thay requires much time to establish any kind expertise on them

Pardon my ignorance regarding this but dont both planes share any commonalities? Regarding maintenance.

@Mumin I was referring to post on other forum according to guy PAF is in talks with other countries not only US and China so I was guessing which other countries and option PAF can explore so Gripen was one guess since they are desperate and typhoon for sure I hope there won't be SU junk.No diamond mine but desparate sellers for sure like Christmas sale I will call it COVID sale.

Case of f16 is CSF otherwise no jets at all
Case for j15 is china mau providing on cheap and with soft long term loan.

What other option left without upfront money

If want to guess than may be 13 qatri mirages 2k as free grants after arrival of there rafales, F15 and typhoon

May be someone can add other free or long term loan jets

All the purchase on this scale done by loan if we get a good deal from EU about EF nothing wrong to buy small number of EF around two Sqd beacuse Americans jetts gonna come through CSF so think they already paid only expense that gonna come on tax payers will EF around 3-4 billion $ are enough or make deal further sweet Get 24 F15s along blk 70 we may get good discount. Who knows things happen in the world. Boeing is in tight spot not LM there sales are sluggish I won't surprise a standard F15 E for Pak.
I won't be surprise if US like Philippines may offer both Zulus and Apache to Pak beacuse they also know Pak looking another platform along Zulus Z10 ME or T129 both are about 2 billion minimum projects with ammo and training very likely both can be offered beacuse US is thrusting orders to her Allies eygpt update is one example.
Bottom line is orders orders nothing more they offering Apache to BD and Indonesia too we will see wave of offering. Trump is a businessman American corporate trust on his skills they may reduce lawmakers interference in deals and lower the price to stay competitive blk 70 standard one example.

With due respect, I understand your saying but when you go Christmas shopping spree you look at your wallet too ! You simply can’t buy everything that on sale , otherwise being bankrupt is the only way to put the turkey in the oven.
