Honestly they should let us decide here .... we can pick numbers, equipment and weapons package for them in an hour.... why do they waste so much time.

This is my first post on any Defence forum, although I have been a member on the ‘other’ famous one for over a decade (without any posts).
I originally intended to take part in this thread to confirm that the finances of the deal being referred to are under consideration. However, I see your post as a good time to jump in and clarify - my limited knowledge allows me to share that ‘we’ have taken our sweet time to decide the package, this time as well as in the past.
Furthermore, with all due respect to the current business environment and how it appears to favor this deal - the developments we will be seeing in the future were penned a few years ago.
