he Pakistan Army on Saturday said the fencing of a substantial portion of the over 2,600-km-long Afghan border has been completed and the rest will be finished by the end of next year. Pakistan has spent billions of rupees for putting fence on the porous border.

Good news, It will keep Pakistan safe but fencing is not enough there should be a wall and surveillance system. I hope Saudi Arabia does the same along the border with Yemen. We may be able to lend a hand as we have experience in this field.

Saudi Arabia should definitely build a fence at border with Iraq and Yemen.
I also like your proposal, it's ideal design and Pakistan should have such fences around it's key facilities.
However the border between Pak-Af is very difficult terrain, hence this razor blade+mesh fence, along with check posts will serve the purpose. Though, it will remain risky for the troops involved & serving.
Logistics for concrete wall at Pak-Af border are near to impossible.

Actually Saudi Arabia already built the fence with Iraq. Im not sure if they gonna work something out in southern border with Yemen. There are families lie in bother side of the border, hard to separate them unless Saudi Arabia is willing to move them inside its border something I doubt.

Mercenaries and pimps is the correct description for those who once invaded Pakistan from northern Afghanistan.
but when PK army engaged them, they ran back to their safe heavens in occupied Afghanistan.
So now if they break in, than they also have to break out... while PK army will be on their tail and that's where this fence going to play it's meaningful role.
