Leaked video contradicts IDF version of deadly incident during Gaza op


Al-Aqsa news channel airs video taken during Operation Protective Edge showing Hamas terrorists calmly returning to the Strip after firefight with IDF that resulted in death of 2 soldiers, while army said they fled the scene.

The IDF had said that the cell of terrorists infiltrated into Israeli territory through a tunnel and opened fire using machine guns, shooting at IDF tanks that were patrolling the area. The IDF units returned fire and pushed back the terrorists into Gaza, according to the IDF's version of the incident.


In the video footage released Saturday – which seems to have been taken from security cameras and IDF monitors – the terrorist cell, according to Hamas claims, is seen returning from the site of the attack. The Hamas terrorists are seen walking back from the attack calmly and not fleeing the scene.


According to Hamas, the video proves that their fighters were not chased back to the Gaza Strip or pushed back.

The mortar shells were pretty devastating against the Israeli troops at the borders,if i remember,more than 10 soldiers have been killed by these mortars,it seems that Iron Dome can't shoot down Mortar shells in a short range. (I heard that they were developing a laser to counter them wait and see..)
I'm pretty sure in future conflicts,they will be used more often.

Yes they were, these above you are the mortars that caused casualties. They are 120mm and pretty accurate. Put near border areas to strike on IDF buildups near border.
