Police protection for Christian churches in Kenya

Security officials are on guard to protect the faithfuls inside the Catholic church in Garissa, Kenya. The setup is a precaution to avoid a repeat of the April attack when Islamists extremists killed 150 college students, mostly Christians. Even in faraway Kenya, the jihadists are doing their dastardly act for the sake of their religion.

The Pope will be visiting Kenya this week I think. Jihadists know that an attack because of the Pope's presence in the country would get global attention. That could be the reason why Christian churches near the Somali border are getting police protection. When the Pope leaves I'm sure that that protection will be withdrawn.

Good for Kenya, the police and community(Christians and Muslims) need to unite against these fanatic thugs.

It would be great to see everyone working together to eradicate this threat. It's been building for years, and they seem to be emboldened by the inaction of our leader here, and his apparent inability to even label the threat, so now we, too, are on alert.
