Not confident he'd get out of Saudi Arabia unscathed? The RSA F15 planes serve as Singapores air defence shield. According to one source, in all its 30 years of combat history, it's amassed 104 victories and not a single loss. No wonder Xi Jinping requested to use those planes as escort.
