The f-5 is still kicking. Many countries are still operating it as we speak. I think some South Asian and also some African countries might show interest in procuring it.

I just wartched a cool 360 degree video produced by the Swiss Air Force while flying a squadron (Patrouille Suisse) of F-5s over the alps. If you search on YouTube for it should be easy to find with over 11 million views.

Nice video and that is exactly what Im saying. The F-5 is still pretty shape at least that in the Saudi inventory and they can be assigned to different roles or be handed them Yemen once the current issue is solved.

@Scorpion, who do you think would buy the F-5, I mean the most potential buyer, in my opinion I would think at least Jordan or even Yemen like you mention, but question is why doesn't the Saudi Air Force use them for CAS (Close Air Support) or escorts of transport planes to Yemen?

Tunisia received 48 already. F-5s are phased out because the hawks are going to replace them.

at least they are going to a country who really needs them!. this is off topic, but is the Rafale still be considered for the RSAF or was that potential buy scrapped?

Nope the deal is completely off the table. Saudi Arabia has gone for more f-15 and EF and is considering scorpion light attack jet.
