Yemen's Houthi militia stated that they targeted King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait city of southwestern Saudi Arabia with assaults on Friday, using two explosive-laden drones.
The militia military spokesman Yehya Sarea was cited by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV as saying that "The attacks hit the targets inside the air base accurately."
This is the second Houthi attack against Saudi Arabia on Friday. Previously in the day, the Houthis claimed a drone attack on the Aramco oil facility in the Saudi capital Riyadh, which the Saudi authorities said caused a fire in the facility.
The Houthis have stepped up cross-border attacks against Saudi cities and oil facilities, but most of the attacks were foiled by the Saudi-led coalition forces.
