As per un offcial news Leonardo is given contract for conversion of 3 lineage 1000 into sea sultan project
Any details on it? Is there a chance that Pak will be sending some team to learn the process? And then maybe have the rest of the conversions domestically for the ones after these 3?

Just random news not official by PN yet. Plus MRO given to South Africa's company Paramount

Unlikely. This will be most likely done offshore.

For all 10? I mean yeah...it's definitely doable...
...but it's also doable at home with assistance from these companies. Pak pays them to do the first few...so they can figure out the process(using their expertise and experience)...and then Pak would also pay some more to have them assist PAC with the ability to do the rest.

It would be a lot better in the long run if Pakistan gained this capability domestically. So when the time rolls around to maintain/upgrade these...it can be done at home. This...along with PAC already having worked on Erieye AWACS...would be very valuable going forward...and maybe one day Pak wouldn't have to rely on foreign companies to do this.
